wintery coleslaw masala

yapp, it’s about masala again, traditional Indian spice mixes that just go with anything and spice up your life.

chili, coriander, ginger, cinnamon, turmeric, pepper are common ingredients and I suggest you decide yourself which of the ingredients you like, which best go with your stomach or diet and also how much you want to use, just be creative.

for a bowl of coleslaw that serves at least 2 as a main dish you need:

1 crushed clove of garlic

1 tsp turmeric powder

½ tsp cinnamon

1 tsp anise seeds

1 dash of freshly ground pepper

½ tsp dried ground coriander

3 tbsp sunflower oil

juice of one orange

½ white cabbage, finely grated

2 big carrots, grated

3 tbsp of sunflower seeds

1 tsp mineral salt

mix all ingredients in a big bowl and make sure you use your hands to massage the cabbage thoroughly, this way it gets tender.

let the coleslaw sit for at least ½ hour so it gets even softer. ready!
