after a night with a sleepless daughter the coffee cravings really kicked in =:o
some more friendly version of caffeine, milk and sugar was badly needed….
thanks to our wonderful friends in Tokyo I got new supplies of matcha tea (finely milled exclusive green tea powder) just this Monday, so here is what I did:
1 full teaspoon of matcha tea powder
2 soft pitted dates
2 dl of any milk, cold or warm (nutmilk, oatmilk etc.)
mixed in our high speed blender until very smooth, ready!
enjoy right away or have with you for when you need to wake your brain.
green tea in general supplies you more evenly with caffeine than coffee, so you won’t experience the deep dips after consuming it than with coffee. on top of this the health benefits of matcha tea exceed those of green tea because you ingest the whole leaf, not just the brewed water. one glass of matcha is the equivalent of 10 glasses of green tea in terms of its nutrition and antioxidants :)
